Hey there! I’m a Japanese guy living in sunny Bangkok, Thailand — been here for about 15 years now. As of 2025, I’m happily living with my Thai wife and our little daughter.
I used to have a normal job here — working for a trading company and a recruiting firm as a local hire. But in 2020, after getting married and finding out my wife was pregnant, I decided to quit and start a new “career”: running a blog, managing a YouTube channel, guarding the house (haha), and driving my family around.
Basically… life has been one long summer vacation ever since. 😎 And since Bangkok feels like summer all year round, it actually is a never-ending summer.
Sure, the air quality here isn’t great — exhaust fumes and PM2.5 are pretty common —
but at least I don’t have to deal with Japan’s cedar and cypress pollen. It’s hot outside, but with air conditioning and giant shopping malls everywhere, life’s surprisingly comfy.
In late 2024, I dropped everything else and dove headfirst into mobile app development using the Unity game engine. Building apps with Unity has been super fun — watching it come together bit by bit feels like building a LEGO castle every day.
